Flourishes Challenge - Getting Sentimental!

We are on verge of releasing three new wonderful sets for March here at Flourishes. And, to get ready, we have a pre-release challenge aimed at getting you excited by allowing you a chance to get your hands on all three stamp sets!

Want a hint at what's to come? Marcella Hawley is at it again with a beautiful botanical that is ripe for spring! Lauren Pope created some artistic elements that could easily become your 'go-to' set to add elegance to your card creations. And, lastly our third set delivers just the right amount of inspiration that will help you create masterpieces with emotion!

Of course, you will want them all!

So, here's the challenge! Simply make a card with a sentiment, word or quote as the focal point for your card! Use Flourishes stamps if you have them, but if you don't we still want to see what you've got! Comment with a link to your creation here on this post, or upload to Splitcoast using the keyword FLLCMAR. You have until next Friday, March 13th at 7 PM Eastern --- Just a couple hours before our release party festivities!

So, without further ado, let's see what the Flourishes Senior Design Team cooked up for this fun challenge!

First up is Leslie Miller who used a trio of papers from the Basic Grey Urban Prairie line along with one of the sentiments from the Mixed Greetings set! What a bright and cheery card - perfect for Spring!!
Christine Okken delivers a dose of high contrast elegance with this creation using the I Love Roses set! Look at that sparkle and the delicate touches she added with the punched border and pearls!
Latisha Yoast sure knows how to create such clean designs and this card using the Fantasy Floral set is no exception! I love her use of kraft colored paper. She has such a whimsical way of adding fun patterned papers and, of course, her favorite--- buttons!
Stacy Morgan is another clean and classy designer! She loves monochromatic looks and knows exactly where to pop down some bling! Isn't this card gorgeous? She used the Flourished Elements set for her frame and accents and the Thinking Of You set for her main sentiment. Don't forget that added splash of satin ribbon! Oooo la la!
When it comes to adding dimension and pop with patterned paper - Faith Hofrichter is the expert! She added such rich colors with pastels and the grand finale is full of drama! The Happy Mother's Day sentiment is from the Siberian Iris set!

Cindy Lawrence's card is so pretty, it is suitable for framing! Couldn't you see this lovely creation sitting on a nightstand welcoming a guest? It is so rustically classic! She used the Home Tweet Home set for the background of branches and the Poppy Patch set for her main focal sentiment!

I (Julie Koerber) also turned to the Poppy Patch for my simple card! All I did was stamp the poppy all over a solid piece of decorative paper using deep red ink. Pair it up with some deep red polka dot paper, add some black and white sheer polka dot ribbon and some black bling and you're done! This card was easily a 10 minute card!

And last but not least, this this beauty from the talented Laura Fredrickson! She used the Stamp Simply Thank You set and paired it with beautiful papers in the Basic Grey Porcelain collection. I love the extras she added with the paper pierced edge, the gorgeous scalloped edge ribbon and the "Thank You " tag. A true stunner!

We hope you enjoyed all the ways that you can make a sentiment, quote or word take center stage on your cards! We also hope you make time for play time and join us in our challenge! We'll announce the winner during our release party - which is set for March 13th from 8 to 10 Central in our company forum on SCS! So, mark your calendars!!

See you back here soon!

~Julie

  39. Wasn't sure could I put the keyword in more than one? I have two, and I prefer the one without Flourishes stamps, but to be on the safe side I'll just link the one I made especially with a stamp. Ever since I saw Laura's lovely peacock-feather pen card this has been in my mind to do. But I shouldn't have left it till the last minute in a busy week...
