THE CHALLENGE: This challenge is all about the colors we love in our gardens. The thermometer might say winter, but this challenge is all about those feel good floral feelings. Use your favorite flower as the inspiration for your card or project's color scheme. Maybe you choose dusty pink and sage because it reminds you of the tea roses in your garden. Or, maybe you choose golden shades with hints of brown to remind you of the sunflowers you love in the field nearby! You choose! Just let us know what flower inspired your creation!

THE WINNINGS: Entries will be taken up until 5 PM Eastern on December 11th. To enter, all you need to do is link up your creation using the Mr. Linky box below! The winner will be announced both at our RELEASE PARTY set for December 11th starting at 9PM Central Standard Time and also here on the Flourishes Newsletter!!

THE DETAILS: Link up using Mr. Linky. If you upload to Splitcoast, be sure to use the keyword FLLCDEC.

Favorite Things Challenge!

It's amost time to unwrap the latest batch of sets from Flourishes! And, to get ready, we are issuing you a challenge! We call it ... the Favorite Things challenge. How does it work? All you need to do is be inspired in some way by the words of the decades old Christmas favorite from the Sound of Music! Be sure to tell us which line of the music inspired your card! :-)

Here's just a snipet of the lyrics....

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

Want to see how the Design Team was inspired by these lyrics? Yours truly (Julie) immediately thought of brown paper packages tied up with string......

Stacy thought of girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes with this creation... pure elegance!

Cindy dreamt up some silver white winters that melt into spring!

Laura had the brown paper packages tied up with string running through her creative mind....

And so did Latisha! She has the string... and the brown paper for her inspiration!

Christine crafted up some beauty with raindrops on roses....
And last but not least, Leslie took the silver to the max in this silver white winters serene scene....

We hope you have as much fun as we did with this challenge! For all the official details on the DT's creations, be sure to visit their little homes on the web.....

A Season That Sparkles!

Can you believe we are less than a week away from all the sneak peeks for Flourishes' October release? I will tell you, this will be one of our BIGGEST releases ever. We have 6... yes 6 sets that we will start to sneak peek starting next Tuesday! So be sure to hop back!

Like we do before each release, we want to get you in on some fun! Play along with us for our A Season That Sparkles Challenge and you will have a chance to win each and every one of our sets for October! Wouldn't you love that prize?

Glitzy packages, the new fallen snow, a Christmas ornament shimmering from the lights on the tree - all of these things equal magic during the holiday season. Capture that sparkle on a card and share your creativity! Please leave your link below using Mr. Linky. If you upload to Splitcoast, please use the KEYWORD: FLLCOCT. This contest will close Friday, Oct. 16th at 4PM CST.

To get ready for the big reveal, our DT had a blast getting glittery to give you some inspiration!

Stacy Morgan used some Stickles to make her Sweet Peas twinkle - literally - in the sun!

Leslie Miller added some pizazz with the help of some gold tinsel embossing powder to her tree image from the Flourished Christmas set. She assures me that it sparkles even more in real life - so what do you say - maybe we should all just pay her a visit! :-)

Laura Fredrickson used some of our clear card stock, stamped her Seasonal Wreaths with Stazon and used Stickles on the back of her creation. This is truly festive... don't you think?
Lastisha Yoast must have been covered head to toe with glitter after creating this beauty. She took one of the new pendant dies from Spellbinders to cut out her shape before covering it with tacky glue and glitter! She used the All that Glitters set for her main image.
This gorgeous journal that Christine Okken created using the Cherries and Peaches set uses a mix of sparkly mediums! For her cherries, she covered them with Crystal Effects and then microbeads -- don't they just look "sugared?" The leaves were colored up and then accented with some Spica pens.
Cindy Lawrence wrapped up her creation made with the All Wrapped Up set with a gorgeous splash of color and a little razzle dazzle with the help of some glitter glue!
And, last but not least, I picked up the Spica pens to color up my entire wreath from the Seasonal Wreaths set. I love the vibrant color in real life and the micro sparkle!
