Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC55)!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC55)! Thanks so much for playing along with us last week in the "All About Me" challenge! 

It is the last Tuesday of the month so we have a guest challenge host! This month's guest host is Iwona Palamountain (Chupa). Iwona comes all the way from Australia with her challenge! Thanks so much for being a challenge host for us this month, Iwona!  Iwona is challenging us to use flowers! Whether they are printed flower designer papers, stamped, punch created, or store bought, put some flowers on your card this week! We would love to see what you create!

Let's go see what Iwona created using flowers!

Iwona is using A Year of Flowers 2 stamp set.   Iwona is a landscape artist and loves all kinds of flowers.  She thinks it would be impossible to pick one favorite flower.   However, for her card she did need to narrow down the choices.  She chose the Morning Glory because it is one of  her many favorites.   With today's challenge to use flowers, Flourishes definitely offers many gorgeous floral images to choose from.    Iwona watercolored the Morning Glories.  She added  Inkssentials White gel for highlighting.  She stamped her image on a textured paper that makes the image look like it was colored on canvas.  I love that effect!    Iwona added some sewing to the edges and added touches of  lavendar pearls to the center of the flowers.  She finished her gorgeous card with a lush burgandy satin bow!  Beautifully done, Iwona!  Please check out Iwona's blog for more card details!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC54)!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC54)! Thanks so much for playing along with us last week in the easel card challenge! 

This week Dee Jackson is our host! Dee is challenging us to " All About Me". Use what you love and what makes you happy!! Use your favorite colors, stamps, layout, and embellishments! Whatever ROCKS your world! We would love to see what you create!

Let's go check out what Dee created with the "All About Me" challenge!

Dee is using Sweet Violets and Waterlilies stamp sets.  Dee used Flourishes Classic White cardstock.   She colored the image using Flourishes Copic Color Collection in Crocus, Lilac, and Evergreen.   I love her fancy punched border frame accenting the deeply rich colored waterlily.  Some cut work detailing and dimension makes everything just pop!  She layered the waterlily with some basicgray dp, added a piece of sheer ribbon, and a metallic cording bow,  and this gorgeous card was complete.    Beautifully done, Dee!

Barbara created a beautiful easel card using  Beach Life stamp set.  Doesn't this tropical scene looks so warm and inviting.  To stamp her image, Barbara is using Flourishes Classic White cardstock.   She colored the image using Flourishes Copic Color Collection in Flesh Tones and Fields.  She die cut the focal image  using Spellbinders Deckled Rectangle.  Barbara finished her card using Finishing Touches Mini Messages layered with a starfish charm.  Beautifully done, Barbara! Hello everyone, it's Maki Jones and I'm hosting the final challenge of Flourishes Timeless Tuesday One Year Anniversary Challenge (FTTC52F)!! My challenge is from FTTC10 - Use our favorite Flourishes stamp set. Many more fabulous sets were released from Flourishes after the original challenge was posted. So, I thought it would be fun to play with the challenge again :)

If you do not yet own any Flourishes stamps, you can still play! Just choose your favorite stamp set ever. You may win a prize for your first Flourishes set after all :):)

Here is my sample....
I used my favorite set, Gerbera Daisies set and stamped the image and the sentiment on the classic white cardstock with Memento tuxedo black. The same cardstock was also used for the card base. The image was colored with Copic markers from the Copic collections. The paper toile was done for a couple of the flowers. The background layer is from the designer paper is from Basic Gray Pantry & Nook. The green border was made with the border punch and the photo corners was used the photo corner punch. The ribbon and the brown pearls are used to embellish the card.

Challenge: Frame It Up! FTTC52E


For this challenge, I want you to use a frame. You can cut a frame out using Spellbinders Nestabilities or use a pre-made frame. Consider using something other than cardstock to make your frame, like chipboard, felt, fabric, ribbon, or lace.

On my card, I stamped Gerbera daisies onto white cardstock. I colored the image in with Copics. Using a knife, I cut out the outside edges of the flowers because I knew that I wanted to lay the frame behind the front flowers. Then I cut out a frame with Spellbinders Megabilities. (For a tutorial on making frames with Spellbinders, click HERE.) I placed the frame underneath the flowers and stamped the sentiment on top of the frame. The frame was foam mounted to the card base. A button-tied bow was added to the bottom. Can you tell I am ready for spring? :)

Are you ready for the next Challenge - FTTC52D! I'm revisiting FTTC36.....using *PINK* as your main color.

There are no limitations on the theme!!! Whether you want to make a Happy Birthday, Thinking of You, or Congratulations card, just remember to think pink!!! Have fun and we can't wait to see your take on it!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday is Celebrating its ONE Year Anniversary!

How to Play!

Keyword: When loading to online galleries make sure you use the correct challenge keyword for that challenge (FTTC52A, FTTC52B, FTTC52C, FTTC52D, FTTC52E, or FTTC52F) along with FTTC, Flourishes, FLLC

Link your card with Mr. Linky for each challenge you enter at that specific challenge post! Make sure to give an active link to each challenge in your card write up at your blog or online galleries!

Prizes: A stamp set of choice from Flourishes will be given for each of the FTTC52 challenges choosen by random.org. That is six chances to win!

Blog Commenting Prize: Random.org will also draw one lucky winner for a stamp set of the winner's choice for that person who comments on all the designer samples for each challenge. Once you have peeked and commented, you just need to leave a comment on each challenge thread saying you commented on all of them in that group! Remember, in order to be eligible, you have to leave a comment for every sample maker and every designer involved in all 6 challenges.

Let's check out what Pat Adam created for us with the inspired by the letter "P" challenge! Pat is using the Poppy Patch and Gerber Daisy stamp sets. She is using soft pink cardstock and patterned paper. I just love the wonderful poppy arrangement Pat stamped. She colored her poppies using soft colors of pinks from the Flourishes Copic Color Collection. She used different Spellbinder's die cuts to give added detailing to her focal image. This week Betty Wright is our host. I am challenging you all to create a scene with stamps. Flourishes has a lot of scene stamps to choose from, such as beach scenes, garden scenes, patio, to party scenes. There are also several indoor scenes stamps from comfy cozy to formal. You can also choose if it is daylight or nighttime in the scene you create. Many possibilities. So, this week we are all creating a scene! We would love to see what you create!

Let's take a look a what I created for you with the Scene It challenge this week. I decided to create a vintage feel scene. I am using A Year of Flowers Calendar Set 2 and Seasonal Wreaths. I used a scallop to create a sky background and stamped the rose clusters randomly onto Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock. I colored with Flourishes Copic Color Collection in Dahlia and Evergreen . I love how my scene looks like someone just tossed roses into the air. So carefree, yet very vintage in tone and feel. I finished with a layered scalloped punch boarder and a few gold pearls beside the sentiment. I would like to add that while I sponge the sky on this card, Flourishes new release this month is a cloud background. I can hardly wait to get mine! It is fabulous. Also, you can still get this cloud background with the NEW Release bundle pricing still available through Thursday.

Silke scored the horizontal panel to add texture. The layered monochromatic scalloped circle spellbinders offers a gorgeous frame to emphasize the beautifully colored flower. It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC48)! This week Maki Jones is our challenge host. Maki is challenging us to a color challenge. Maki is giving us two colors and we have to choose another one. Sort of like a 2+1 color combo. Maki is celebrating her Asian heritage and the black and yellow color choices because it is the year of the Tiger! The colors are black and yellow plus another color of your choice! Have fun playing along with us. We look forward to seeing what you create!

Let's see what Maki Jones designed for us this week with the color challenge! Maki is using black and yellow along with a deep rich avocado green shade. She is using Signs of Spring stamp set. She is using Flourishes European watercolor paper. She layered the Spellbinders label die cut. Maki watercolored her beautiful daffodil flowers and added beautiful soft buttery background shading. Maki combined border punch accenting along with subtle patterns to create one beautiful card. She finished her card with some gingham ribbon, gold cording, and rhinestone detailing. Beautifully done, Maki!

This week Cindy Haffner is our host. Cindy is challenging us to ATC or Artist Trading Cards. These wonderfully sized trading cards 2.5 X 3.5 are perfect for making quick last minute cards. If you make a bunch ahead of time all you need to do is add it to a card base. Get creative with these trading cards and join us in the fun! Here is a link from SCS to give you alittle more insight into ATC. We would love to see what you create!

Let's see what Cindy Haffner designed for us this week ATC style! Cindy is using Flourishes Christmas Music background and Flourished Christmas sets. Can you believe she is using a rolodex card to make this beauty? I am just as shocked as you! It is simply gorgeous and completely altered from its original look. Cindy stamped the reindeer. She stamped it again onto cardstock, colored with Flourishes Copic Color Collection in Flesh Tones. She cut the reindeer out to adhere over the original stamped image to create some wonderful depth. She finished with some perfectly placed gold rhinestone detailing. Love all the warm toned sponging, too! Beautifully done, Cindy!
