Here's one for the Men in our lives!!

It is so hard to find stamp sets with a masculine theme - until now!! Flourishes latest release, Menswear, will be a staple in your stamp collection. The set contains the artwork of Sophie, who many of you know over at SCS as Sophie LaFontaine. The set of 9 stamps includes a shirt, a tie and a frosty mug, along with several words and phrases. Stamp the shirt on colored card stock for a different look. Draw stripes or dots on the tie. Use flocking on the frosty part of the mug. There are so many ways to use this set - so celebrate the men in your life!

Here are just a few of the terrific cards made by some of our designers, Sharon Johnson, Leslie Miller and Natasha Trupp.

The best Bone Folder you will ever own!!

Yes - this is the best! This bone has a weight and feel to it like no other. It is made of a non stick teflon type material that is made to last, allowing for easy cleaning and it will not graze or mar delicate papers, fabrics, and coatings. It's non-stick properties insure that almost nothing will stick to the folder, even the stickiest glues and paints can not get a grip on its slippery surface. Used by paper crafters, book binders, and graphic artists for creasing, burnishing and gluing materials together. Size: 5 1/4" x 5/8" x 1/4". This product is now available at the Flourishes store.

New Nestabilities Arrive

That's right! These are the new releases from CHA....we received a partial order today and expect more this week. Watch here and our SCS forum for news of the arrivals. We are readying these for the store shelves and since the supply is limited, they will be on a first come first serve basis. We also have the plain heart and scalloped heart and a good selection of most of the Nesties.

I used these new ovals and scalloped ovals in the card that I made for the SCS challenge (CC159) today. I love these new shapes...they allow for thinner ovals. I think it very much fits into the the little girl dress details challenge that we are doing on the SCS forum. Check it out and join in the fun.

Here the details on the card:

He Has Risen Alleluia!

ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA! ALLELUIA! HE HAS RISEN!

We wish you and yours all the joy and blessings that this Easter and Easter tide season hold.

The card today captures all the simplicity and majesty that is rightfully due our King. The focal point is the message of the day. To keep focused on the real topic at hand...I choose beautiful colored papers....the gold brushed paper holds the majesty of the celebration and the white paper is a new "silver Ice metallic". It has a whitter appearance and slightly more sheen. The only ink used was Encore metallic gold. The Silver Ice paper was embossed with a new Cuttlebug folder and I am very pleased with the result...great definition. The ribbon is also truly fit for a king, a metallic gold wired edge ribbon....a straight forward card that allows the message to be delivered.

The 3 Flourishes wish you and yours the Happiest and most Joyful Easter.

Jan Marie, SharonD, and Nancy

He has truly risen! Happy Easter from the 3 Flourishes. Join us in the celebration of this joyous occasion and celebrate the entire season of Eastertide....from now until Pentecost Sunday We hope that you day was filled with joy and celebration, and of course good food!

Today's card is a simple one of majesty yes fit for a risen king! In keeping it simple the message is the focal point. The card is made up from very special papers each on their own.....brushed metallic gold and the silver ice metallic paper ( a new paper that is whiter and has a bit more sheen). I embossed it with a new Cuttlebug folder..and I must say that I was very please with the results. The only ink used is Encore Gold Metallic and the touch of ribbon is again a metallic gold with a wired edge.

From SharonD, Nancy and Jan Marie the happiest of Easter Blessings!

Three products we love!!

One of the fun things we do at Flourishes is to try out new (and old!) products prior to deciding if we want to carry them in the store. We figure if we like them and actually USE them then there must be other paper crafters who will like them as well. We've just added three products to the store and want to share what we like about them.

The first is Eclipse Tape...for those of you who use this product, then you know how good it is. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, here are some of the details...

You know how when you want to make a mask when you are stamping? If you are like most of us, you get out a "post-it" note and attempt to stamp the image where the "sticky" part of the post-it is, so that the mask will stay put when you use it. After awhile the mask tends to get torn and you will need to make another. Eclipse tape is a material that is a bit heavier than a post-it note, but the BEST part is that it has the non permanent adhesive completely covering the back! It's so easy to use - just stamp your image, cut it out, use it as a mask and then keep it with the stamp for future use! You can also use it to make stencils and non permanent stickers. This product is so much better than post-it notes!

Next is the Stardust clear gelly roll pen. I must admit that I use this on so many cards. It's perfect when you want just a touch of sparkle to your cards - no messy glitter - and the pen provides is a nice 0.5mm line of sparkle.

Last, but not least is a new product released at CHA by Ranger - the Inkssentials White Opaque pen. Doodle, draw, write and scribble!! Filled with a bright, white opaque pigment ink this pen is great for doodling, accenting stamped projects and journaling on colored papers. Highlight pre-printed embellishments and scrapbook papers to make them pop!

We hope you like these products as much as we do!

CLEAR BOXES ARE BACK IN STOCK!!

Yes, we just received our shipments and these boxes are now available in the store!!

Crystal Clear heavy weight transparency

Do you like the look of transparencies on cards? Transparency art has been very popular lately and crafters want material that will hold up to layered papers and embellishments. Flourishes now carries Crystal Clear stock - a heavy weight transparency that can stand on its own. These are not the thin overhead transparency sheets that you get at the office supply store. Our Crystal Clear stock is much heavier and is available in the store now for $3.99 for 10 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11. Click here for a direct link to this product.

Clear Boxes update

We received word from the manufacturer that our clear boxes have been shipped!! They are expected to arrive tomorrow (Wednesday) and as soon as they arrive we will have them available in the store. We've had so many requests for these boxes - they sold out in two days when we initially offered them. We'll post on here on the newsletter as soon as they arrive.

Acrylic Blocks

Do you have an large clear or unmounted background stamp and you need a large acrylic block for it? Flourishes has just what you need!! This acrylic block pack contains three blocks in a convenient plastic storage box. The blocks sizes are: 6 x 5, 3 x 4, and 1 x 3. Three sizes to cover just about all your needs. The blocks are clear, but will come to you with a protective paper covering - just peel off the paper and you are ready to stamp!

Here is what the blocks look like with the paper covering. I keep these on my desk so they are at my fingertips and ready to use. The plastic box is great and large enough to hold a few other blocks that I have so that they are all in one place. Visit the store and order yours today.
AND.....The first 25 people that order the blocks will receive a 1.25 x 1.25 block in their order!!

NEW SPRING RELEASES!!

Spring is here...well at least in some parts of the country! We're issuing two new sets to celebrate springtime and Easter, so even if you are snowed in these sets will help bring a little sunshine your way!

The first is Easter Bunnies..a set of nine stamps with three cute bunnies, three sentiments and three grass type stamps. Don't you love the ATC shown above that Jan Marie did for a swap she participated in?

The second is Easter Blessings...a set of 3 stamps. The main image is a wooden cross with a floral overlay and is based on an antique Easter card Jan Marie received from her mother. A beautiful, elegant image that be used for Easter wishes, sympathy or other occasions where you want a more spiritual tone.
