Timeless Tuesday!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge!!!! Thanks so much to all of you who played along with us last week and used Spellbinders on your cards. Keep reading to find out the winner from last week's challenge.

For those of you who are new to the site, the Friends of Flourishes blog team are bringing you exciting and different challenges each week. Everyone can PLAY and anyone can WIN! Make sure you continue reading to find out how.

This week Kimberly Crawford is hosting the Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC6). Kimberly has provided us with a sketch to test our card making skills.

As far as sketches go, there is not much explanation necessary. You can turn it and enlarge the sections to fit your card size. However, in the end, it should still look like the sketch. Good Luck!!!! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!!!

Let's go see what the blog team created with this sketch!!!!

Up first is our challenge hostess, Kimberly Crawford. Kimberly is using the beautiful Lilacs set for the magnolia bloom images. I just love her coloring and softly colored sky background. She is framing the oval with a layer of Basic Gray Sultry dp. She uses the Signs of Spring set for the sentiment, and the Many Sentiments set for the filigree bars above and below the oval. Love that detail. Beautiful, Kimberly!!!!

Silke Ledlow is using the Thinking of You set. The Thinking of You set includes the solid cluster flower oval frame which adds a lovely finished look for the sentiment. Silke's clean and simple, yet elegant design adds just the perfect finishing touches. I love how she uses score lines to create texture and added detailing. Beautifully done, Silke!

Next up is Becca Feeken. Becca is using several sets for her card. For her background lace detailing she is using Lace and Trims set. Love this bold detailed image that comes in the set. The white embossed image takes on a true lace effect. She is also using the I Love Roses set to create a beautifully colored rose detail. The sentiment is part of the Thinking of You set. Great colors and details, Becca!!!! Lovely card!!!

Betty Wright is next on our tour of cards. I am using the Signs of Spring set. I added layers of the Basic Gray Porcelain dp. I love these colors. I, too, allowed the sentiment to be the focal point with a touch of the small daffodil image that comes in the set. Love this quote and the flower is the perfect size. I added some soft sponging around the edge of the oval to create a subtle framing effect for the sentiment.

Cindy Haffner is next on our tour of sketches. She, too, is using the Thinking of You set. Love her color combo and soft pattern dp choices. The pierce and dot detailing around the card base and oval image adds a subtle frame effect for the card and the sentiment as the focal image. Love her attention to details. Gorgeous, Cindy!!!!

We are hopping on over to Dee Jackson's to complete our sketch tour. Dee is using the Easter Bunnies set. This card is so cute. I love Dee's spring colors and her double wrapped soft pink satin ribbon detailing. Great coloring, too!!! Lovely and festive seasonal card, Dee!!!

Be sure to check out each designer's blog links for more specific card details.
