Flourishes Featured Stamper -- the grand finale!

Hi all! This post is a bit bittersweet. After 36 weeks of watching uber talented Featured Stampers come and go - this challenge is coming to an end. The good news is - we are going to be ushering in something this coming Friday that will knock your socks off! I can't tell you too much now because we want it to be a surprise. So... stay tuned! Let's just say it's a whole new round of challenges with a whole new spin on fun! It will stretch your creativity and give you some fun ways to get your hands on the best of all that Flourishes has to offer!

With that in mind, this last round of winners was a tough one to pick -- knowing this would be the last time I doled out the title of Featured Stamper!

So, without further ado - this week's final Featured Stampers are.....

Deena, Stacy and Alison!

First off, Alison's card blew me away. She even gave a tutorial here on how she made her background of her card shimmer. It just created such a beautiful look. That tulip from the Stamp Simply Thank You set is colored just gorgeously and the black dp background just makes everything pop!

Deena also tried a new technique with her card! She did faux mosaic - a technique I have never tried - but WOW -- look at the results! I love how the faux tiles were created to match the mosaic in the table from the Summer on the Patio set! Did I mention I love the earthy colors too? So much to like in this card - don't you think???

And last, but not least, Stacy whipped up this striking creation with a bold pop of red - she also used the Stamp Simply Thank You set! I love the crisp feel of this card, and the embossed background! Her layout is just stunning! I want to thank those players who have stuck with us since the beginning! It has been so much fun watching the amazing creativity that is churned out from week to week! You have been such an inspiration. I just know that more good things will come from this talented team of stampers when you see what's in store here at Flourishes!

Because this was the last challenge, I thought it only fair to draw a name for the January stamp set! So, the winner of the free stamp set of choice is ......
Lois!
Lois, just email us at flourishesllc@cox.net and let the ladies know which set you would like! It's ironic that Lois' name was drawn because she has been with us literally since day one! In fact, she was the winner of the very first Featured Stamper challenge 36 weeks ago!! So, thank you Lois for your continued support! We hope you ink up those new stamps for our next round of challenges! Did I mention that we are kicking them off Friday???? Stay tuned for more! The talented Betty Wright will be back then to fill you all in!
Take care all!

Featured Stamper 35!

This week's Flourishes Featured Stamper has a dose of spring woven in! I loved all the entries and when it came down to it... I had to pick three because each was so beautiful and unique!

So, without further ado - this week's Featured Stampers are...

Deena, Lois and Angel!

Ladies, all of your creations had such a unique flair that I had to do a double take!
Deena, I love the artistic flavor your card delivers with the fun background and soft washed flower!

Angel, your orange and white combination - also with the Stamp Simply Thank You set- made the whole card pop! It was a card with high contrast that made me say -- wow!
And Lois, your elegantly inspired card shows just how versatile the Birds and Vine set can be! I love the way you paired gold and white together to create such a posh card!
Ladies, your names will be entered into this month's drawing for a free stamp set of your choice! Keep those submissions coming! They inspire!

Have a great week!

Flourishes Featured Stamper!

Hi all! Do you ever have one of those days where you blink and the day is almost over? That was my day today, so I apologize for leaving you all on pins and needles wondering who the Featured Stamper is!!

This week I decided to pull out the old Wild Card and let everyone who submitted cards win! So, if you submitted a reply to the thread for week #34 before Sunday evening. You are in the monthly drawing for a free stamp set of your choice!

Well, I couldn't sign off without sharing some of my favorites from the thread and Flourishes gallery! So, here goes!

I just love this set that Stacy did using the Spring Ephemerals set as it's focus. The pink and black combo is just to die for!Lois may have cased this card for this week's Featured Stamper on Splitcoast, but it takes serious talent to create this kind of beauty! I can't wait to take out my I Love Roses set and case the card Lois cased! :-)
This spring time beauty from Michelle reminds me that warm weather will one day be on it's way! Afterall, the set she used is called Summer On The Patio for a reason! I love the citrus inspired colors and the lovely layout Michelle used for this downright yummy card!
And, last but not least is this sparkling creation from Connie using the Stamp Simply Thank You set! She used what's called the glitter tape technique to pull this off. Isn't it lovely? I don't think I've ever seen this tulip in blue, and wow, I love it!
Thanks for stopping by for this week's dose of inspiration! We can't wait to see what you come up with this week! If you have time, don't forget to check out the Celebrating Home challenge on Saturday's post! If your name is drawn, you could win ALL 3 of the new stamps that are being released Friday! We'll have sneak peeks starting Wednesday, so mark your calendar and come on back!

Featured Stamper #33!

Hi all! Hope you had a fabulous week. Your creations sure were fabulous! After looking through all the entries there were a few that literally took my breath away!

So without further ado~this week's Featured Stampers are....

Theresa and Terry!

The coloring on their two cards made me gasp. I just love the depth in both! Theresa's card above uses the Figs and Pomegranite set and is just off the charts beautiful! I love the deep, rich colors she chose! the layout and how this card comes together is just perfect!

Terry's card uses the large rose from the I Love Roses set and is just so crisp with the boxes of color and stark white background. I just love the clean design on this one!

So, Theresa and Terry, your names will be thrown into the hat for the drawing of a free stamp set of your choice for January!! Congrats!

Today was the day for the December drawing! I'm going to hold you in suspense for a little longer though! I wanted to show you some of my other favorites on the submission thread this week!

I just loved the vintage sparkle in this card by Carla! Lace Heart embellished this way creates a stunning card!
I love the embossed background and the fun elements Deena added with the clinking glasses from the You Are Invited set, the bling and the personalized message from her Just Rite Stamper!

And, this one from Stacy is so fun! I would never have paired the bleeding heart stamp from Spring Ephemerals with the color orange but -- how fun is this??? I love it!

Ok... I've stalled long enough! The winner of the drawing for a free stamp set of her choice is.......

Deena!!!
Deena, just shoot an email with your pick to flourishesllc@cox.net! Thank you so much for playing!

Until next week..... keep those submissions coming!

Flourishes Featured Stamper 32!

This week, there was so much talent in the pool, I was really close to just saying -- You all won! But, after looking and looking - I narrowed the pot down to just three. These three stampers featured a range of cards that were just off the charts in their own ways!

So without further ado, this week's featured stampers are.....

Christine, Lois and Amber!

Christine blew me away with this set of cards that she made for her Sister-in-law!
I love how Christine showed how versatile the I Love Roses set is by showing that this rose looks just as gorgeous when you just show the outline in colored ink!
Lois also picked up the I Love Roses set and made a bouquet out of it! Do you see the greenery she added? Does anyone want to guess that stamp? HERE is a hint! :-) Creative thinking Lois!
This was the second offering from Lois this week! She used clear cardstock to create this stunning card with the Butterfly Moments set! That little butterfly in the corner is a rub-on that she got for Christmas! I love how they match so well!

And last, but not least is this creation from Amber!

I love the color combination Amber used with the Rock-A-Bye set and how she cut out the detail around the moon - not to mention the way she used her Just Rite set to create her own sentiment! It all adds up to one darling card perfect to welcome in a new baby!

Thanks all for some great entries this week! You've blown me away... again! Amber, Lois and Christine, your name will be thrown into the hat for next week's drawing for a free stamp set of your choice! Thanks for playing and we'll see you all next week!

Flourishes Featured Stamper #31!!

This week's Featured Stamper is all about thinking out of the box! Or, making a box... kind of! When I saw these creations while looking through all the entries, I actually said -- WHOAH!!!! Way to think creatively!

So, this week, my hat goes off to....

Nancy and Liz!

They earned the title of Featured Stampers!

Let's start with Nancy who must have put hours upon hours into this beautiful table creation! She used the deer from the Flourished Christmas set. I love how she then added "reins" and little bells to the reindeer. Create a sleigh for the reindeer to pull and deck it out with sweet treats.... what could be better? Just fantastic!!!
Liz actually made me say, "no way!" when I saw her card! She used the trims from the Lace and Trims set to make a Christmas tree! How ingenious is that? I love the pop of red and all that bling! Fabulous idea Liz!
So, Nancy and Liz, your names will be thrown into the hat for December for a drawing for a free stamp set of your choice! Congratulations! The drawing will be the first Monday of January-- so stay tuned! Keep those fabulous submissions coming!

Before I go, I have to show you some darling card sets that were a part of this week's submissions! I might have to CASE these for gifts! The first one is from the talented Laurel Seabrook and is made with the Coffee With Friends set! I love the shades of brown with that pop of red. And... she used real coffee beans on one of the cards! Too cute!
Stacy Morgan cooked up a stunning set of cards using the Summer Botanicals set dressed in blue with wonderful scalloped accents, gems and satin! They all look so elegant! Who wouldn't love this as a gift!
That's it for now my friends! I hope you are enjoying this time of year and are able to kick back, relax and enjoy a bit!
Until next week!

Festive Flourishes Friday with a challenge!

Hi all! Hope you liked last week's challenge that we threw in! Well, we are back with another one this morning!

This Flourishes Friday is all about the crisp and clean winter white - dress it down with a monochromatic theme or dress it up with a sparkly flair. It's up to you! The only requirement is using one of your favorite Flourishes sets! If you want to play along, simply leave a comment on this post or upload your card to Splitcoast using the keyword FFFC2. Keep in mind, we’ll be doing this fun Friday challenge all month long and there will be a special drawing for those that play all four weeks! Details on what is up for grabs -- to come!! If you are just joinging us - track back to the first Flourishes Friday challenge on the first Friday of this month. You can make up past challenges to qualify for the giveaway! The first week's challenge had the keyword FFFC01 (that is a zero not the letter O).

What inspired the challenge this week? It was this card below by the talented Cindy Haffner. I loved how she created texture and dimension with an embossed background and the floral element from the new Thinking of You set creates a soft, crisp, clean and serene look. So, the gals all decided to follow in her footsteps and stamp it out in winter white!
Want to see how others interpreted this challenge? Be prepared to be blown away! First up is Becca. Do you even recognize the stamp she used? I actually scratched my head and said -- what stamp is Flourishes? Oh my! She used the Flourished Oval to make a flower!!! Check out the full set HERE so you can see! Amazing!
Christine Okken grabbed her I Love Roses set and made this breathtaking beauty! Oh my! It was like this set was made just for her! I love the layers, the texture and the gold accents. It's a real stunner!!
Christine's second offering is a card featuring the All That Glitters set. She creates a winter wonderland with stunning shades of white and blue with rhinestones... OOOoooooOOO la la!
Kimberly's card takes the branches from the All That Glitters set and makes them razzle and dazzle with a dose of sparkly embossing powder -- just like a branch with fresh fallen snow!! Her simple design is accented too with lovely pearls! Can you say elegant?
Betty's take on the winter white challenge is "clearly" stunning! I love how she added the beautiful flourished element onto the clear cradstock and then added in some gilded details with the golden rose, the gold sheer ribbon and plenty of little gold peals! It's a real WOW card!!
There's nothing like the soft look of a poinsettia dressed in white and that's exactly what Dee captured today! I love the layers, the pearls and the poinsettia background she created as well! Do you see how she personalized it with her Just Rite stamper??? How fun is that?
Here's a peek at all the dimension Dee created with her card!
And, last but not least....Latisha created this peaceful scene with a lone evergreen (Forest of Trees) waiting to be decked out for the holidays! I love the sheer ribbon and the clean and simple layout! I can see making one of these beauties in the comings days as I rush to get my cards out-- couldn't you?

I hope you enjoyed our walk through this Flourishes winter wonderland! Why don't you try your hand at winter white? Don't forget to link here or upload to SCS using the keyword FFFC2! Remember, participate in all four challenges and free stamps are up for grabs! We'll unveil next week what the winner for the drawing will receive!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Featured Stamper -- Week 29 Winners!

This one was a tough one. Super duper tough. Each and every card in the gallery this week was worthy of walking away with the title of best card! I had a winner and then two mintues later I'd say - but that one is awesome. I changed my mind a million times! So, if you want some great inspiration. Click HERE to see all the entries. You won't be sad you did!

Onto the winners! From the forum, the winners are........

Stacy, Chrstine and SCS name -Tobaby!

Oh my, I love each and every one of these creations for different reasons! First up, Stacy. She did this uber creative purse that is made to have her coffee themed cards made with the Coffee and Friends set sit inside. There are four in all and they are all darling!

Here's a look at the purse.....

And here's a look at the cards that fit inside!

Next up, Christine. When I first saw this card, I gasped. It is so rich in color and her watercolor technique is to die for. I would love to sit down with her and have her show me how she does what she does. Amazing! She used the Figs and Pomegranites set!

Last but not least ---- Tobaby! I think this is just such a pretty card made with the Rejoice set. The inked up background that repeats the pattern of the main image is great! I might look at this stamp differently now that I can use a section of it as a background! Just goes to show, you need to think out of the box and see stamps for more than just a saying stamp or a background stamp! On top of all that, I love, love, love the glitter and the way the image was colored! I bet this beauty really sparkles!

Now... onto the gallery! You know - where I pick a card that was in the FLLC gallery that I thought was pretty or creative. So.... that winner is Michelle B.! And,here is her card!

So, all four will be entered into the this month's drawing of a free stamp set of their choice!

Keep those entries coming! We LOVE to see what you do with Flourishes stamps!

Oh, and don't forget! Wednesday is the release of our new images for December! They are all to die for! You won't want to miss Faith's Chat With A Designer in the SCS Flourishes Forum Tuesday night from 7 to 9 eastern time. We'll be chatting away and have some samples to sneak peek! It is bound to be a blast!

Featured Stamper---- And MORE!

Sorry I am a bit late with this post all..... I am a bit under the weather! :-( But, even though I am green around the gills, I am still able to be completely and utterly inspired by this week's Featured Stamper entries!

So... without further ado... This week's Featured Stampers are.....

Michelle Woerner from the SCS Entries!

And... Laurel Seabrook - my pick from the overall SCS Flourishes Gallery!

First up, Michelle! Her cards have such a classy and clean look about them that I just admire! This first card is a true stunner with the way she used the magnolia stamp from the Lilac set. It just looks so soft! Her second card is just beautiful with the Damask and one of my favorite flowers from the Spring Ephemerals set! Gotta love that sheer ribbon too!

And now on to Laurel! I just loved the rustic look this card took on with all the different Flourishes elements on it! Can you find the three... yes three.. Flourishes stamps she used?? Very clever Laurel! Love the distressed edges too!
Before I say goodbye, I have to share some of my other "faves" from this week's entries!

I love the bold color and whimsical feel of this card by Ilina Crouse! Isn't it beautiful? Butterfly Moments is one of my favorite sets and this card--- wow-- does it justice!
Karen Wallace brings on the "bling" in pure holiday style using the All That Glitters set along with plenty of sparkle and shine! It created such a classic card - don't you think?
And lastly, Lois served up two lovely creations perfect for the holidays that just have stunning elements tied in with a bow! First, I love the old time feel of this card using the Sleigh Ride set with such fun ribbon and decorative paper!
And this card using the City of David set is just too classy for words! I love how Lois used the Glittered Christmas Paper in the background for some extra sparkle!

So Michelle and Laurel, your names will be added to the hat for this month's drawing for a free set! The drawing will be next Monday, so stay tuned! We still haven't had a wild card week yet.... Hhhhhm. Better get those entries in!!! :-)
Until next week!

Serving up the Featured Stampers with a twist!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I got away for the weekend to get my dose of fresh mountain air and I am back, refreshed and after looking at the Featured Stamper submissions-- inspired! I am jonesing to create now!

So, after looking at so many fabulous entries, I picked three that hit me in different ways. Without further ado...... Two of this week's Flourishes Featured Stampers are.....
Christine and Liz!

You'll have to keep reading to find the twist in this week's challenge!
But first, Christine! In her post she said she has been dreaming of this card since last summer. What took you so long Christine??? It's gorgeous! LOL! She paired the Coffee With Friends set with the magnolias that are a part of the Lilac set. Oh my! Love the punch colors, the elegant images and all the little extras Christine threw in!
Liz's card drew my attention just for the subtle colors, the pearls, the ribbon and the fun punched edge. Add it all together and you get a very soft, inviting card. Liz doesn't know this but I hope to CASE this in different colors! Wouldn't that just be such a fun card set for a friend with different sentiments? The Mixed Greetings set she used is PERFECT for a card set!
Ok... now for the twist! Every week I am going to surf the FLLC gallery at Splitcoast Stampers and find a random target. Someone that blew my socks off and this week - that is Ilina Crouse!
I love the way she colored these fabulous poppies and all the things she did to make this card sing! The ribbon, the brads, and that darling punched butterfly!
So, Christine, Liz and Ilina - your names will be thrown into the hat to win a free Flourishes stamp set of your choice! The drawing will be the first Monday of December! Thanks so the fabulous creations!

Until next week.......
