Limelight Week 1 with Makiko -- Paper Tole Waterlilies

Hello everyone! It's Makiko. I'm here to show you my first project for Limelight :)
When I received Waterlilies set, my mind was already sat up for paper tole. This technique is one of my all time favorites and those waterlilies are just perfect ones to play with!

The photos below are the steps I did with the waterlily on the center of the card above.

I stamped the images on Flourishes Classic White paper several times. Then I colored the each image with Flourishes Copic Tea Rose Collection, Fields Collection and Y13, 15 as shown on the photo.

I trimmed the images that were colored.

I adhered the biggest image on the designer paper and layered the rest of the images with dimensional adhesives. I usually trim the adhesives to fit the images ;)

This is the finished image from up side down angle.

The small waterlilies were also made with the same process but only 2 layers. The Koi fish (cope) were colored with Copic markers (R000, RV11, 14 17 for pink fish, B93, G82, W1, 3 for gray fish). I stamped the flourish images from Ornamental Elements with the pink rose ink on the designer papers. Stamping on the designer papers is a fun & easy way to make your own designer papers in my opinion and I do this for many of my cards, too!

Thank you for joining with me today. I hope you will come back to see me next Sunday!
Have a wonderful week~xoxo
